This post mainly consists of 3 parts: what is partitioning, does partitioning affect performance, and how to partition a hard drive properly. Disappointingly, most of them haven't got a satisfying answer, so we wrote this post and hope it contains necessary information those folks want to know. Several days ago, I browsed forums for Windows partitioning related problems as usual and surprisingly found a huge number of users asked the same question – does partitioning a hard drive affect computer performance. How to Partition a Hard Drive Reasonably to Optimize Computer Performance.Does Disk Partitioning Affect Performance?.Overview of Partition Hard Disk in Windows. You won't find quality like that for 90 (or 200 euro when it goes off on the purchse, the GPO sounds great. I recommend anybody who does any kind of orchestral work in their music who needs a library to pick it up. The high notes are expectedly a bit plastic-sounding and quite obviously synth sounding, but for 90 euros right now for a full-on orchestra is stealing. Thanks for the additional plugin recommendations, will certainly bookmark the links for future reference! Thanks for the hint about the Reaktor User Library, I would have probably missed it otherwise, although I do not seem to have anything in my 'User' library, but the 'Factory' library seems to be filled with awesome stuff, yet I have no idea of how to use most of it, do you have any recommendations of some nice every one else. I am not too sure what you mean bout removing the players. And there is still a ton of discovery left to do, bit overwhelming :P I just had a really quick scan through most, if not alot of the items included in Komplete Ultimate (Full), and all seems to be working correctly in Sonar so far, although it took my a couple of hours, haha. NI stuff straight can be a bear at times. Instruments from them first if you want to keep them.

You won't find quality like that for 90 (or 200 euro when it goes off sale).īe sure to have a look in the Reaktor User Library, tons of cool free stuff in there.Īnd when you have some money again (heh) check out and Īlso if you have any of the players installed, i would suggest you remove them, I do more orchestral metal and black/death metal compositions, so I never really needed the hyper realistic sounds of EastWest, but didn't want a huge specialised library like LA Scoring Strings. Excellent sound bank for starters and mid-range enthusiasts. I listened to the demos and pretty much bought immediately.
I had never heard of that site before nor the Orchestral Collection by Peter Siedlaczek. It sounds really great, hoepfully I'll be able to get the same quality with Komplete for now. Thanks for the heads up, although after purchasing Komplete Ultimate, its going to be a long while before I can afford any other plugins!!Įdit: I just had a listen to the Complete Orchestral Collection by Peter Siedlaczek. That said EastWest Silver (11GB) is also on sale at the moment - also US$100.

I'm going to pass on this occasion, til I've proven to myself that I need more of an Orchestra than the Cakewalk Dimension Pro Garritan Pocket Orchestra that I have (and I'll keep an eye out for Garritan Personal/Instant Orchestra sales too). It's a little older but by all accounts still very good, some components perhaps better than others.
I did the homework, and especially if you can't afford the 'bigboys' this Orchestral Suite could fit the bill.

only to read it needs Kontakt Full :).Īs it happens the current deal is actually compatible with the free Kontakt Player - 50% off Complete Orchestral Collection by Peter Siedlaczek (26GB ~US$100).
The amount of times I've seen a cracking deal there. Originally posted by ShellstaX:For you lucky folks that can afford, or at least justify, Komplete or even Kontakt Full.
